Solids Passing Commercial Pumps

Solids Passing Commercial Pumps

To be considered a “sewage pump” the general rule is that the pump must be capable of passing at least a 2” solid unless it is a cutter type pump.  However, depending on the application it may be necessary to pump up to a 4” solid.  Always refer to the predominating code in your area to confirm that the pump you are specifying or installing conforms with local requirements.
